The owners made us a lovely breakfast with homemade jams, bread, yogurt and, of course, coffee. We also bought some of their home-grown apple juice. They drew us a map when we asked for hiking ideas around the area. My girlfriend and I stayed one night this past weekend. The drive to St Dalmas was incredible, and both the chalet and its view were beautiful. We used the hot tub and picked up pizza locally for dinner. There were kitchen utensils in the room, though we didn’t use them. We’ll definitely visit again!

Beautiful surroundings, lovely food and drinks available, and really great hosts. Their baby granddaughter Matilde was the star of the show. A really nice Chambre d'hote.

Our two-year-old daughter loved it so much that after breakfast on the first day, she climbed up to the dining room by herself the next morning 😄. There’s a proper trampoline, a slide and swings on site, so it’s a little paradise for children. The alpine chalet is peaceful and set back from the road. The owners were very friendly, and the homeowner knows the area well and can suggest things to do. Breakfast included local products, homemade yogurt and jams. We really appreciated the comfort and calm, and plan to return in August. After three days here, we’re already looking forward to coming back.

The one thing that disappointed us was the set menu: 28 euros for a meal that felt quite light and very simple. Otherwise, it’s a lovely place for a weekend away. The rooms are small but practical, and the chalet itself is beautiful. Outside, the mountain views are magnificent and make it easy to unwind. Yves is a passionate host who clearly enjoys meeting people, and we got a very warm welcome.

Getting around the chalet in skates was required, and I wish we’d known that beforehand. I wasn’t comfortable wearing skates provided for everyone to share. The breakfast room and some bedrooms are also reached by a narrow, steep staircase. Even with those things, we had a very pleasant stay and wished we could have stayed longer. The room was small but charming, with wood paneling and lovely decor. We were welcomed warmly, and dinner and breakfast were made with excellent fresh local produce. The cherry wine at aperitif time deserves a special mention. We also appreciated the advice on places to visit in the region.
