le jardin du controleur

Right by the canal, this bed and breakfast is in an ideal spot. The room was extra-large and wonderfully quiet, and Muriel was such a welcoming host. Her breakfast, with homemade products, was fantastic. I'll definitely be back.

Muriel's little handmade ceramic souvenirs are a lovely touch, and the bedding made for a really good night's sleep. It's an unusual, relaxing guesthouse where you feel at home. Muriel is welcoming and shares tips for enjoying the area. A very pleasant break, I'll be back!

My room looked out over the lock, while the other rooms overlook the garden. The house and guest rooms are tastefully decorated, with spotless linens. After a long day cycling, the bedding was a real treat. Muriel welcomed us warmly and kindly, and the guesthouse is ideally placed on the greenway. Have a look at the exhibition room on the ground floor for a lovely selection of artists' work, including Muriel's ceramics. A stop not to miss!

Such a pleasant stopover, and a lovely surprise. The hostess was charming. We didn't know the area, but found the villages and their people charming and authentic. It was wonderfully refreshing.
