In Situ Hotel

The room was enough for what I needed, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good too. I enjoyed my couple of nights at this lovely little hotel just outside the station. No complaints from me.

The hotel looks great, and the staff are very friendly. It changed its name while we were there and is now called InSiut Hotel. Being next to the train station is handy, although it can get noisy outside. The windows do a good job of keeping that sound down. The bathrooms look nice, but the shower’s short glass panel doesn’t contain the water, so the floor floods every time. I had to lay towels down. It’s a poor design. Breakfast wasn’t worth the price to me, with a small selection, maybe that’s typical for France. The WiFi was awful, cutting out for a few minutes and then coming back, again and again throughout my stay. Staff checked it and said it was fine, but it clearly wasn’t, and I couldn’t work. I also didn’t feel security was taken seriously. I checked in with just my name and reservation email, no ID. When I’d left my key in the room, a cleaning lady I saw in the hall unlocked my door without asking anything or checking that I was staying there. The room number is on the key, so losing it could let someone into your room. Despite all that, I think it’s an excellent hotel and would stay again. A few adjustments could make it amazing.

The room was large and comfortable, and the location was great. A very pleasant stay.

For the good price, this small hotel deserves five stars. It was clean and friendly, and we didn’t have any noise, despite what I’d read in other reviews. Our room faced the station square, but was well insulated.
