We were given no compensation after the waiter accidentally spilled our drinks tray at the snack bar, leaving my partner covered in beer. Not even a free drink was offered as an apology. We’d booked room 107, where the toilet was cracked and could have caused an injury. The blind was broken too, and reception told us this was “normal,” so we couldn’t open it to air the room. Wi-Fi was unavailable throughout the hotel because of a technical issue. The setting is nice and the location is convenient, but the room didn’t warrant its high price. With the blind and toilet damaged, it would have seemed reasonable to tell us beforehand, or give us a discount on the adjoining room 106, where my parents were staying.

We booked a number of rooms for a sports competition and spotted an extra room on the reservation back in May. We reported the mistake then and followed up several times, but the hotel never replied and still charged us for that room. It’s very disappointing to see so little professionalism or communication. We still haven’t had any response.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel itself was well kept. Breakfast, though, was a real letdown. There was very little choice, with only small pieces of baguette and mortadella instead of ham, and no eggs. The pastries were overcooked. Dairy products, cold cuts and butter were all left unrefrigerated, so the cold chain clearly wasn’t maintained. I mean this review constructively.
