It’s central, clean, and basic, but good value. The views over the countryside are nice, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

For €25 a night, you can’t expect too much. The place was decent and fairly clean, with cooking facilities, a TV, and an exercise bike. Breakfast ran from 7 to 9 am, and you could come and go until midnight, but not later. My room had four beds, there was lots of coming and going, and the walls let sound through, so it wasn’t a quiet place. The owner didn’t speak much French, which made communication difficult, and he barged into my room in the morning to see what was going on when I’d barely woken up.

The welcome was friendly, but that didn’t make up for the dirty bathroom, dusty bedding, cigarette smell, or hearing every conversation from the neighbors. Breakfast was ridiculous, and the neighborhood felt bad and gloomy. Avoid.
