Hôtel F1 Vannes rénové

The city center is a 15-20 minute walk or a 5-10 minute drive, and there aren’t many places to eat close to the hotel. It’s a good budget option, though the setup feels more like a hostel. There’s a small bed underneath and a bunk above, both better suited to short people. The room only has a wash basin, while shared bathrooms and showers are in the lobby. There were enough bathrooms even when the hotel was nearly full. Breakfast was included, mostly bread, jam, butter, cornflakes, chocolate spread and coffee. There was no hot food, and no option to order any.

Clean rooms, and it’s just a 25-minute walk to the historic center. Great for a night or two.

This is a hostel, not a hotel. There’s no bathroom in the room, and not even a proper bathroom elsewhere, just a unit in the hallway like you’d find in a boat or motor home. Towels aren’t provided, so you have to rent one, walk from your room to the unit either dressed or in a towel, shower there, dry off in the wet unit, then make your way back in a towel or in clothes left outside. Honestly, it’s not much better than a rest area or a college dorm.

A mile from town, but the room rates are so cheap you save a fortune. It’s perfectly cheerful.
