La Taiga

June 2025 We didn't get to use Taïga's hotel facilities because they were closed. Still, we had five full days of hiking with François Bardiau, whose mountain guiding was exceptional. He was efficient, funny, enthusiastic, passionate, and always available, among so much more. We couldn't keep quiet about how much we enjoyed his company. He made our mountain outings pure bliss. His wife, Catherine, prepared exquisite picnics, and we're very grateful to her too. On François's advice, we found accommodation at Les 2 Moucherolles and were completely satisfied. If you're planning a trip to the Vercors, get in touch with François, you're in excellent hands! A thousand thanks, dear François. Our family had a wonderful stay at this hiker's hotel, in such a warm and welcoming setting. Everyone was friendly, and Pauline's food was delicious. We found splendid trails and learned so much from François's informative guiding. We highly recommend the stay!

The sauna and Nordic bath were a lovely way to unwind afterward, and the herbal tea served there was another nice touch. François welcomed us warmly and knows so much about the region's history and trails. Each day he suggested beautiful, varied hikes suited to everyone in our group. Since we were traveling independently and didn't know the area, his recommendations were invaluable. Everything was well organized and welcoming. Thanks again, we'll surely return soon, maybe with snowshoes.

François is a real storyteller and knows the region inside out. We enjoyed talking with him, and he suggested hikes to match each guest's interests and ability. The Hôtel de la Taïga was what we'd been looking for for a long time: a small family-run hotel, with only a half-board option and a warm, friendly atmosphere shared by all the guests.
