On my second visit, I was treated like family. This historic, distinctive hotel is charming and unpretentious, ideally located, and unforgettable. Whether the rich and famous still come or not, its storybook past is worth savoring.

We’ve just finished our second four-night stay at the Welcome Hotel, and it was wonderful again. The staff are genuinely friendly and care about giving great service. This year we met Rans, who was super helpful and gave us great tips for our day trips. It’s such a great hotel in a special place, and we’ll definitely be back.

It’s easy to explore the French Riviera from the Welcome Hotel in Villefranche, and there are plenty of tasty restaurants a short walk away. The views are stunning, and the staff were so friendly and accommodating that they made our stay special. A fantastic gem for a memorable visit!

For $500 EUR a night, I expected more than dated 90s rooms, uncomfortable beds and pillows, poor service, and restaurant noise outside every night until 1230am. What are you paying for? Other reviews seem to say the same thing. My wife was pregnant, but they still refused to give her a small extra bottle of water at night without charging $8 EUR. That’s bizarre at a $500/night hotel when water costs 50 cents.

The Welcome Hotel is in an incredible spot right on the port, and it’s a beautiful hotel. The staff and service were exceptional: friendly, efficient, informative and genuinely welcoming. They quickly sorted my request to upgrade my room and were very helpful with questions about the region and an upcoming local festival. I highly recommend it.
