Breakfast had a nice range of fresh food, and the coffee was excellent. The room was clean, modern and stylish. The staff were lovely, especially Marina, who was kind, professional and always smiling. Thanks, Marina, for helping throughout my visit and making it so much more pleasant. It really made a difference.
We were very happy with our stay. The staff were great and everything went smoothly. We needed somewhere near the football stadium, and this was just a 2-3 minute walk away. The nearest metro station took about ten minutes to reach on foot, and the price was good too.
My first night was a nightmare. My flight got in very late, and when I finally tried to sleep around 3 AM, I found bed bugs in the bed (I have videos). I asked to move rooms. I didn't see any bugs in the replacement, but the bathroom was filthy, with short hairs that weren't mine, fungus in the shower, and poop in the lavatory. I only got to sleep at 5 AM, and the next day of my trip was ruined. I thought about changing hotels, but my schedule was tight and I figured it couldn't be worse than bed bugs. The food was bad and expensive. There was no filtered water and no real choice of food. The menu's highlight was undercooked bacon, apparently offered once a week. The location wasn't good either: the nearest metro was a 20 minute walk, taxis wouldn't come, and an Uber could take more than 20 minutes. The front desk staff were friendly, but I got no amenity, refund or apology for that awful first “night.” They only gave me pizza to replace the breakfast I missed while sleeping until 5 AM, and I had to ask for it. At least the pizza was quite good. There was no iron, umbrella or fridge in the room. They were supposed to offer AC, but the room controls were disabled. On my last day, at 12:10, while I was packing, a woman knocked and yelled at me to open the door and come out as if I were a criminal. Check-out was at 12, but the treatment was completely unacceptable. This is meant to be a 3 star family hotel, not a cheap hippy hostel. It was disgustingly dirty and felt unsafe, and some staff were abusive and incompetent.
Fine for a single night, but I wouldn't stay longer. The staff were nice, but poor hygiene, limited equipment and noise around midnight made it an unpleasant stay.
The location worked really well for the concert at the nearby stadium. Getting to the city centre wasn't difficult, although during my 8 day stay the metro wasn't running half the time. The hotel itself is basic and low quality, with little comfort or even basic amenities. Our towels were old and cleanliness was poor. The reception and breakfast room staff weren't friendly. The person cleaning our room, though, was lovely. Please pass along our regards to her.
