The rooms are tired but clean, with basic amenities and firm beds. The shower over the bath was fine. There’s a good bar and restaurant in the hotel. Staff were friendly when approached, and Sophie was particularly helpful. It’s a great spot for exhibitions, with the train station just a minute away. You’d really only stay here if you’re going to an expo.

The two bar staff were very nice, and the hotel could be a pleasant little boutique place. But Kyriad needs to renovate it and hire new staff, or charge 75€ a night so people know what they’re booking. We paid 260€ per room per night for two nights while visiting M&O, and it felt like a complete rip-off. The rooms were stuffy with no aircon. Carpets and curtains were stained and dirty, the pillows looked 20 years old, stained, lumpy, and cheap, and the bed felt like sleeping on the floor because the mattress was so hard. My friend even had a cockroach for company the first night. The restaurant was another problem. Staff were rude and unhelpful, only moving to shout “do not sit there!” when there were wine glasses on tables at breakfast. One morning there was no bread for toast, and the next there was no toaster. Fresh scrambled eggs or bacon took 10 to 15 minutes. The only upside was watching guests get angry with staff over the poor service. Maybe the two bar staff should be promoted and run the place.

The cleanliness was above average, and the rates were quite reasonable, though dinner at the hotel itself was expensive. We paid city tax too. The place we stayed in felt more like a converted hostel, something the promotional photos didn’t make clear. I’ve shared photos so you can judge for yourself. We had to travel 15-20 minutes to find somewhere to eat. There weren’t any special services, and the staff attitude seemed standard. I’m still unsure whether I’d stay here again.

The hotel was nearly empty during the first week of July 2024, but the staff were incredibly unpleasant. They spent much of their time smoking in the parking lot and wouldn’t help us or answer even simple questions. We stayed four nights and had room service once. There was no coffee maker in the room, and when we asked for coffee in a paper cup, they wanted 4.5 euros for it.
