We had a lovely stay, and the meal was really good, thank you, Marie Claire! The Coquelicot room sits at the back of the property, so it felt private. La Rochelle is an easy 20-minute trip away. Marie Claire and Jean-Louis were charming and attentive, and their suggestions for places to visit were excellent.

Breakfast was generous and varied, with homemade and local things that we really enjoyed. The owners welcomed us warmly and paid attention to our comfort. Our room was lovely too, comfortable and practical.

8/10
The owners were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed the meals. La Rochelle is a bit far away, though, and there aren't any amenities within 10 minutes. One thing felt awkward: the owners stayed standing beside us instead of sitting at the table.
