Beeches Aberdeen

John was always there with information or a special favour, and I can't say enough about him as a host. The complimentary breakfast included fresh local berries every morning. The Beeches has large, quiet, well-equipped rooms, a little outside the city centre. Downtown Aberdeen and the harbour are about a twenty-minute walk away. If walking isn't practical, the bus stops across the street and can take you and your luggage to the bus or train station. I highly recommend staying here.

John is the real highlight. I've never experienced hospitality like his: he's attentive, friendly and warm, and someone I could happily spend hours talking with over coffee. The rooms are old-fashioned but have what you need: they're clean, the bed is comfortable and the shower gets hot quickly. Location is very convenient too, with a large car park behind the building, a bus stop right outside that reaches central Aberdeen in five minutes, and a ten-minute walk to the start of the main street. Simply perfect.

John was a friendly, accommodating host and made us feel completely at home. The B&B has comfortable, spacious rooms, with the facilities you'd want, including toiletries, a fridge, iron, safe and tea-making things. Breakfast had a great choice, with so much to pick from. We appreciated the off-road parking behind the house. The location is fairly central but quiet, with a couple of evening meal options within a five-minute walk and buses right outside. I highly recommend The Beeches.

The breakfast spread was incredible, easily the best continental one I’ve come across. There were meats, cheeses, loads of fruit, cereals and bars, pastries, juice, tomatoes, eggs, yoghurt and cookies, plus soy and oat milk for anyone avoiding dairy. The rooms were spotless, spacious and private, with comfy beds and good shower pressure. The place is clearly looked after, and John has thought of just about everything to make guests feel welcome, short of peeling grapes or laying on an unlimited bar! There are two washers and dryers guests can use for free. I’ve been travelling and only just got around to leaving this Airbnb review. You’d be hard pressed to find somewhere nicer.
