The check-in was a complete mess. I was sent to a shop instead of an office, then given a code with no instructions. It turned out to be for a hidden lockbox, not the door, and I had no idea how to open it. After many unanswered calls, a woman finally got back to me. Her children kept making noise, the connection was poor, and at one point they picked up and hung up the phone themselves. When I got frustrated, she said, “I'm not your host, I'm just helping you,” as though I should be grateful for all the confusion and delays. Eventually she showed me over video how to open the box and find the keys. I had booked a two-bedroom apartment with breakfast included, but after the booking was confirmed, I was told the property wasn't available. They offered a one-bedroom place further away, without proper facilities. Inside, there was no internet and only one towel. The fridge didn't work until someone came later. There were no instructions, and “just plug it in” wasn't enough to get it going. The breakfast was two mini kids' cereal boxes, expired instant noodles and biscuits, and a sealed croissant. Most of the snacks were out of date. There was no clear information or help, just chaos, though I was given written instructions about taking out the rubbish and stripping the bed before checkout. Seriously? I asked for a £50 partial refund, which seemed completely reasonable given the service. After that, Bukky, who I'd been messaging on Booking.com, disappeared and stopped replying. This felt like a scam. You could pay for a “two-bedroom flat” and end up, as I did, with one bedroom and horrible service. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID!!!
