If you have a car, stay somewhere else. Parking here is a complete disaster. For years the hotel has prioritised “park and fly” deals, so the car park is constantly full, even when the hotel isn’t full. Actual guests end up leaving cars on nearby grass or pavements, and the local council issues expensive fines. They make a point of doing late-night ticketing runs and ticketing dozens of illegally parked vehicles. Parking was fine when the hotel first opened, but the business chose to sell all its spaces to people going away long term, such as offshore workers. Saying there’s no parking is a complete lie. There are spaces, but the hotel has chosen to make them unavailable to actual guests in favour of park and fly revenue from non-guests.

This is my second stay here, and the staff are very nice. Ana helped me today and was a great example of customer care. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable, and breakfast is good and served early for people heading offshore. A shuttle to town and the airport would be great.

The welcome from the front of house staff was friendly and informative. The rooms were nice enough, and it seemed quiet even though the hotel appeared busy. We didn’t have a car, which was just as well since parking might have been an issue.

After a sixteen-hour travel day, my wife and I got to the Hampton beside Aberdeen airport at 11:00 am. We expected to wait until the official 3:00 pm check-in, but the staff member greeted us with a smile and said our room was ready. It’s less than a mile from both the airport and the car rental centre, and the location was excellent. I’m usually not a fan of airport hotels: they’re convenient, but amenities can be lacking and the quality often low. This Hampton surprised us. Our room was small and practical, apparently an upgrade because of my Diamond status, but spotless and well equipped. There were lots of places to charge devices, a comfy bed, and a bathroom with great water pressure and very large fluffy towels. The dining room serves food from noon until 10:00 pm. The menu is basic and limited, and you order on your phone, but the pizza we had for lunch was very good and cooked perfectly. Continental breakfast starts at 6:30, with a full hot breakfast at 7:30 am. Times are earlier during the week, so check. Both breakfasts were excellent and varied, among the better Hampton breakfast buffets we’ve had. The staff were the best part. I wish I’d got their names so I could mention each one, because everyone was friendly, professional and helpful, and made us feel welcome. We’ll return in a couple of weeks at the end of our Scottish holiday before flying home, and we’re looking forward to staying at this airport hotel again. Highly recommended.
