Breakfast was self-serve, with a good choice of fruit, homemade bread and granola, though nothing cooked. We slept well in a homely room with comfortable beds, and they brought extra pillows and duvets when we asked. We were shown the accommodation and amenities in detail when we arrived, maybe a bit too much information for tired guests. They said the northern lights might be visible from the window, but it was cloudy that night. We'd stay again and recommend it to others in the area.

I've been coming back for years, and this time I got to stay in the shepherds hut, beautifully decorated and run by the Owners’ daughter Issy. The cosy bed nook was the perfect spot to watch the moon before falling asleep. I woke ten hours later feeling five years younger. Everything was thoughtfully chosen, with what you need and nothing extra, and the hut is incredibly well insulated. The Wrights’ hospitality is warm in a way that puts you at ease and leaves you feeling joyful. Their care and creativity, and the way they connect with the land around them, show in all the decisions they've made for the house. If you can, get stranded there in the depths of winter, and you might get to try Jo’s wonderfully comforting cooking. It's a home away from home, and one of my favourite places for life.

Jo & Trevor, thank you so much for such a lovely stay while we explored the Highlands. Your home felt cosy, and every detail seemed cared for, from the hens in the garden to the homemade breakfast made just for us. It really is a work of art, and you were such perfect hosts. Thank you for everything ❤️

We stayed here in 2023, and I'd go back to Scotland just to see Jo and stay again. She's a wonderful host. Achmelvich beach is nearby, about a 45-minute walk one way, and Lochinver is roughly the same distance in the other direction. The path between Achmelvich and Lochinver was beautiful. It's a lot of walking, but makes for a great day.

Everything was so clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated, and breakfast was a real treat, with so much homemade food and lovely quality. We got such a warm welcome in this beautiful, peaceful spot surrounded by nature. The hosts are lovely and seem to be living their dream.
