Breakfast was very good and piping hot every time. The rooms were simple, clean and nicely presented, and there’s a small shared living room just outside the bedroom door. Steve and family were so welcoming and friendly, and we couldn’t have asked for more. The visit felt like a homecoming for my wife, and Steve offered lots of suggestions and answered all our questions. Well worth a visit!

We loved the quiet setting, with beautiful views and only the soft sounds of nature around us. The hosts, Steve and Janis, were warm, kind and welcoming, and knew good local beauty spots and places to eat. It felt like a home away from home. Thanks for everything, you’re good people and have a beautiful home. And your little pug is adorable, I loved giving her pets. Our room and en suite were clean and comfortable, with plenty of tea and coffee, toiletries and power outlets. The window seat was our favourite, cosy for sitting and watching the view, especially at sunrise with coffee. There’s also a shared sitting area with a fridge and TV. Even out in the Highlands, the Wi-Fi was spot on, better than in some big hotels. Breakfast had a great selection. I’m pescatarian and had the vegetarian breakfast a couple of times, which was spot on. The new sausages were really good, I’ll get some now I’m home. My husband enjoyed the traditional breakfast each time. Nothing was greasy or under- or overcooked. It came promptly when requested, with tea or coffee, orange juice, toast, butter and jams, and the host offered more toast. We had an amazing three-night stay and would happily do it again. Just remember it’s a guest house, so you’re in the hosts’ home and some sounds carry between spaces. It wasn’t anything extreme or an issue for us, and made us feel more at home.

Stephen came up with some great coastal places for us to visit after our crabbing trip was cancelled because of the weather. We enjoyed the beach, looking for shells and walking along it, and stopped in Gairloch. We loved the area, and the breakfasts were the best of our whole trip. We had a fabulous stay. The owners were gracious, relaxed and accommodating, and we’d definitely recommend the Lovecroft if it’s on your route. Thank you to our hosts.

This was our favourite stay in Scotland. The hosts were incredibly hospitable, the beds comfortable and the breakfasts delicious. I only wish we’d stayed longer. The area has beautiful drives but not many restaurants, so this place feels like a hidden oasis.

A great guest house with excellent hosts. When we had car trouble, the owner helped us out and even called a couple of garages in the morning. Our room was large and comfortable, with lovely views over the garden and gorgeous countryside. Do plan ahead for your evening meal.
