I’ve stayed here twice now, and even though I caused a small mix up this time, the staff sorted it out and I had a really enjoyable visit. The bright room had modern furnishings, and the bathroom matched. The bed was cosy and super comfortable. There’s a great car park at the back, which is a real bonus for me. Everyone was warm, friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely return next time I’m up for work. Thank you.

The room was comfortable enough, and most of the staff were friendly, but the food was disappointing and the catering wasn’t great. We only had a continental breakfast. The building creaks a lot, so there was some noise at night. One person in our group became very ill after eating. We were there for work.

We were really impressed by our family stay. The kids had proper beds, which is unusual, and the room was great, seemingly refurbished to a luxury standard. Staff were very friendly, and the restaurant downstairs served delicious food.

The restaurant feels so much nicer since the refurbishment, with a modern look that’s more like a hotel restaurant. The food is better quality and much more appealing on the plate. Prices were a little high, though not too bad. I thought the Balmoral chicken was fantastic.

The staff were very helpful, and the triple room suited us well for our John O'Groats trail walk. It’s right opposite Coop, which was handy for stocking up. One of the beds was a bit too soft.
