As someone with coeliac disease, I really enjoyed eating at the Binsted Inn. Most of the menu is gluten free, and they can adapt the other dishes on request. The staff were friendly and knew a lot about coeliac disease and cross contamination. It felt safe to eat there, and there were several pudding choices too.

Our daughter suggested the Binsted Inn after staying and eating there with her partner’s family. We went with a friend who’s gluten intolerant, so it suited us really well that nearly the whole menu is gluten free. The food was excellent, portions generous, and the young woman who served us was delightful. We’ll definitely visit again.

The dog hall of fame was a nice touch, and breakfast was delicious with generous portions. We felt very welcome and well looked after. The rooms are cozy and inviting, with a homey feel in the best way. I’d happily come back.

My partner is rarely impressed by the vegetarian choices, but she really enjoyed all her food here. We both had three courses on Sunday, and every dish was perfect, cooked beautifully and presented wonderfully. I chatted with the chef, who clearly has an artistic flair. The staff were lovely, and it’s a nice pub with a great garden. Good food is hard to find in and around Alton, so this will be in the mix for our next night out.

A lovely discovery. The pub is pretty, the beer garden is really good, the food is yummy, and there’s an amazing wine selection.
