Brantfell House

The rooms were lovely and clean, and the breakfast was fantastic, cooked and prepared perfectly. The hosts were warm and friendly, couldn't have asked for better. Highly recommend.

The breakfast was freshly cooked, tasty, and offered a good range of choices. We slept well in the comfortable beds, and the room was beautiful. Mandy & Adie are amazing hosts, so friendly and welcoming. Excellent accommodation.

A great place, with lovely hosts and an awesome location. The food was good, and they suggested some good things for us to do.

We spent a couple of days in Ambleside over Easter and picked this B&B. The location was ideal, right in the middle of town with lots of walks nearby and a bus stop just around the corner for going further afield. The price was very reasonable for the location and time of year, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Ambleside. The owners were lovely and so helpful. I arrived early and they looked after my bags while I went for a wander, then got my room ready ahead of time. They also let me leave my bag there on the final day so I could fit in another walk before going home. Their tips for routes over the nearby fells were useful, and they offered a packed lunch for £5, which saved me a lot of fuss. On Easter Sunday morning, they even gave me a cream egg. My room was really clean and quiet, even though the B&B is right in town. With the windows shut, I had no trouble sleeping. The shower was great, with much better water pressure than mine at home, and the bed was so comfortable I slept like a baby. There were plenty of food options, and the owners seemed happy to accommodate requests. Thanks, guys :)
