The welcome was a nice touch: there were chocolates and a bottle of bubbles waiting for us. The cottage is pretty, cosy and has a good kitchen with space for six. It's in a lovely spot for country walks and a quiet break, and we'd recommend it for a short stay. The arrival was difficult, though. The heating was off, and getting there at 4pm meant it was dark; being so rural, there was no outside light. We spent about 15 minutes in the dark and rain trying to find the cottage and get inside. Once we were in, we had a really nice stay.
