Eversleigh Woodland Lodges

You'll really need a vehicle to get around, but the woods behind the lodges have wonderful trails. We used Uber rides and Eats, AtoB taxi, and Tesco food delivery, and all provided very good service. The lodges and cottages are wonderful, with each one its own place.

I used the lodges as a short-term let while my house was being renovated. It was a good experience overall, and as a holiday base it would be perfect. The location worked well for us and it was very quiet. For longer temporary living, though, it can be inconvenient. There are only two washing machines and one dryer working for six lodges, so laundry was difficult at times, especially since I needed change. I used the bowling alley to change notes in the machine. Internet was almost not fit for purpose: Netflix wouldn’t load on the TV, and I had to use my phone hotspot for work. I ended up travelling to the office every day, which wouldn’t be an issue for holidaymakers.

The lodges were really comfortable, just what you'd expect, and the staff were friendly without hovering. I liked having the indoor pool and games room too. The area is lovely with plenty to do, though some bits could use a tidy up, maybe with a few flowers. Still, a lovely stay :)

We were made to feel very welcome, and even found an unexpected bottle of wine waiting for us. The accommodation was clean, modern, roomy, and had everything we needed. It's also a great base for sightseeing. The staff couldn't do enough for us during our December stay. We'll be back in summer with friends and family to enjoy the indoor pool. Thanks for looking after us so well, we'd highly recommend it.
