Headcorn Lodge Hotel

The venue was brilliant overall, and I'd return. The carvery lunch for a special birthday was really good, with friendly service. The young lad at the carvery is a credit to the business. I work in the industry, and he'd be exactly the kind of staff member I'd want on my team. Well done to him. We waited a long time for a drink when we arrived, and although the woman serving was polite, she didn't keep track of who'd been waiting longest. The bed was also really uncomfortable, so I didn't sleep well.

There was plenty of parking, the staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and breakfast was great. Dinner was surprisingly good too, though we waited almost an hour for it. We had a mixed stay at Weald of Kent. The rooms were decent, but the walls are very thin. We could hear everything next door, including conversations word for word.

The food was amazing, but our room was very dirty. There was dust along the skirting, stains and burn marks all over the floor, and the bathroom hadn't been cleaned. My partner and I went to use the gym, but we were told we couldn't come in, even though it's free for guests. I complained, but got nowhere. We ended up cutting our stay short and going home.

We held a Diamond Wedding Anniversary party for fifty people at the golf club last weekend. The carvery lunch was delicious, and all our guests said how good it was. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to make the event special. Nothing was too much trouble. It was a lovely sunny afternoon, so we lingered outside enjoying the beautiful surroundings until late. A big thank you to the venue staff for making it such a lovely day!
