Middleton House

The outside doesn't really show how lovely this place is. It used to be an old brewery and is older than Gleneagles, but it's been restored to a really high standard. Nothing was too much trouble, and there were extra blankets for when you're cold as well as an extra heater that can also work as a fan. Such a great find. It's a brilliant base for seeing the surrounding area, and we'll definitely be back.

Kate was happy to work around my mornings at breakfast, which I really appreciated since my chronic health condition makes me quite unwell then. The food was delicious and plentiful. The house itself is a beautiful period home, kept and decorated to a high standard. Our room had lovely high end fabrics and linens, and everything we might need. It feels more like a boutique hotel than a Bed & Breakfast. Kate has a great eye for interiors. Thank you for your hospitality, Kate x

We broke our journey to Aberdeen with an overnight stay, and loved this B&B. Kate was engaging and gave us great advice about stopping at Glamis castle on the way onward. The room, house, and ensuite were immaculate, and breakfast was super. We also enjoyed Kate's stories and conversation. Now we need an excuse to come back.

Kate's breakfasts were among my favourite meals of the trip, and she's an incredible cook as well as a fabulous hostess. When my pre-arranged taxi didn't turn up for my golf at Gleneagles, she immediately grabbed her keys and drove me there. We were so happy with the food, room, and personal care. The house is historic, spacious, and immaculately kept, right in the middle of Blackford and very near Gleaneagles. Breakfast in the conservatory was perfect. We'll be back to Scotland and will spend more time at Middleton House B&B in Blackford. Thanks, Kate!
