Cairngorm Guest House

The pancakes Mark makes were the best I’ve ever had, and breakfast was a real treat. Mark and his wife were so welcoming, and the room was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. It’s close to the ski resort, with plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby. We had a wonderful stay and would happily come back.

Mark made it easy to feel at home right away. He was warm, attentive, and went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable. He also made clear I could reach him however suited me, by text, phone, WhatsApp, or otherwise. I’d absolutely stay here again and recommend the place.

The rooms were spacious, with plenty of hot water, and even had little fans available if you wanted one. Mark was understanding when traffic made my group late. It’s a really nice family-run B&B, and I’d gladly stay again.

Breakfast had plenty to choose from, and the pancakes with fresh fruit were so good I’d come back just for them. The two-room suite suited us well, with two single beds in one room and a queen in the other. The bathroom was clean and everything worked, though there could be more space by the sink for toiletries. There was also a sofa and coffee table beside the TV. The lounge closes after 9 pm, which makes sense since it’s next to a guest room. Sound carries a bit, as you’d expect in an older or newer house without perfect soundproofing, but we had no noise issues. Check-in and checkout were quick and easy. We got to activities by bus, though it took longer, so next time I’d probably rent a car.
