We were visiting family and spent Christmas Day night here. AJ on reception made the stay for me: she was upbeat, welcoming and gave us first rate service. I’d come back based on that alone. Thanks for making us feel at home. Highly recommended.

For a night on a road trip, this worked perfectly. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the shower had good pressure. Staff were polite and brought extra pillows when we asked. We thought it was very good value.

The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the TV was good and the hot water was nice. I could also sleep without much noise getting through. Towels were brought when I asked, and I was given new ironing boards and irons. You can buy essentials at reception, and when I needed an iron or directions to the nearest town or village, reception was happy to help. All the staff, including the cleaning team, were polite and helpful throughout, with no attitude at all. Big thanks to them. The location was good too. The main things that need attention are the carpet and windows, which could do with an upgrade. The clean room made up for those issues for me, but they still need doing.

There’s no breakfast apart from a breakfast box, so the adjacent services are probably the better option. Rooms are clean and tidy, though there’s no air conditioning and they get warm in summer. Parking is free and plentiful, with Ionity chargers nearby for EVs. There were limited chargers at first, but more were due to be commissioned in July 2025; new ones were added in September 2025, so there’s now plenty of capacity. Staff need to add your vehicle registration to their tablet, or you’ll get a parking fine. This isn’t somewhere you book for a holiday, just a place to sleep, and it’s reasonably priced without being amazing.
