We spent two nights here and the food was excellent, with wonderful staff. After our walks, we sat outside in the lovely warm spring weather. There are a few quirky touches too. Keep an eye out for the doll in the pram.

The service was really friendly, and breakfast had everything you’d want to start the day well. The decor and surroundings were lovely, with beautiful trails and cafes nearby. What a charming place. I’ll definitely come back.

A peaceful spot in nature, with very friendly staff. The rooms are great if you like the building’s old-fashioned style. Breakfast is excellent and self-serve. The bed was a little too small for someone over 195cm.

There’s a walled garden and an outdoor pool that’s no longer in use. Getting onto the A93 by car is a bit awkward. Inside, there are lovely pictures, paintings and other memorabilia on the walls. It’s a great old-style hotel with good food and friendly staff.

The Kennels apartment, looking out over the walled garden, was delightful. WiFi worked well, and the place was very clean and well kept. There’s a small menu, but the food is good and the service friendly. The old Victorian style is part of the charm. The owners are putting a lot of effort and investment into bringing the place back to its former glory, and it’s much appreciated. Beautiful woodland and riverside walks are right on the doorstep. We’d definitely come back, and probably will.
