We had a lovely welcome when we arrived, with two delicious cakes waiting for us. They were very welcome after the long journey. The house is beautiful and so spacious that even with eight people, you can find time alone and still come together. There are two living rooms, a well-stocked kitchen, free unlimited WiFi, and everything was very clean. Everyone from 8 to 70+ had fun with the pool table. We didn’t get to see everything during our stay, so we’d definitely come again. There’s loads of space, and I’d recommend the place.

We came here to celebrate a big family birthday and had a really special time.

We had such a magical holiday and wished we could move in. The place was beautifully decorated and really well thought out. The space was incredible, with thoughtful touches like a well-laid-out kitchen, comfy sofas, a pool table and an alfresco dining area.

The house was gorgeous and worked perfectly for our group of 11, seven adults and four children. The decor made it feel homely straight away, and there was lots of outdoor space for games. It’s a quiet village, though the nearest shop, a co-op in nearby Bampton, is best reached by car unless you fancy an hour round trip. There’s plenty to see nearby. Aston Pottery is a 5-10 minute walk away, with a fascinating shop full of knick knacks, a café with magical cakes and lovely gardens. Crocodiles of the world, a sanctuary with creatures for children of all ages, is also nearby, as are Legoland Windsor and Coatewater park, which has a giant lake, minigolf and a miniature steam train ride. A few things could be better: next door’s dog, Benji the cockapoo, unexpectedly came to visit, though he was very friendly. The pool table and WiFi had occasional problems, and the upstairs bedroom got very hot with the boiler right next to it. A fan would probably help. Still, it’s a great country escape with all the mod-cons you’re used to, or better. I’d highly recommend it.

A gorgeous, spacious barn with everything you need, especially in the kitchen. It was ideal for a quiet getaway, and the pool table was a nice bonus. Would love to come back!
