The room was beautifully clean, with a huge bed, and we got a lovely warm welcome when we arrived. We had an amazing night’s stay, followed by a delicious Scottish breakfast with our friends, who were allowed to join us. The evening in the bar was great too, very friendly, and we slept wonderfully. We have friends in Whitehills, so the location suited us perfectly. We’ll definitely be back ❤️

The service was faultless, and the human food was delicious with generous portions. We’d planned our visit based on the Doggy Menu we found online, which looked amazing, but what arrived was very different: a bowl of dry feed and a couple of rawhide snacks. That wasn’t what the menu led us to expect. Also, while no harm was done, a place that prides itself on being dog friendly should make sure guests keep their dogs under control. Having one launch itself at other dogs as they come in isn’t a welcome anyone expects or appreciates.

We had such a lovely evening at our friends’ 50th celebration on Saturday the 19th July. The Hotel was incredibly busy because the Gala was on that day, but the young women serving us were pleasant, attentive, and made nothing feel like too much trouble. Everyone seemed to matter, and the service was the best we’ve ever had. The food was top notch, hot, and nicely presented for everyone. Prices were really reasonable too. The staff are a credit to the Hotel. Well done, and thank you. We’ll be back very soon. Ari and Jim Watson.

The open fire made the place so cosy I could barely stay awake, lol. I felt right at home in this lovely part of the world, and the food was to die for, from breakfast to an exceptional evening meal. This deserves five stars. Can’t wait to come back. See you all soon 💓
