The building has been repurposed in such a thoughtful way, while keeping its traditional character. We really appreciated the comfortable beds, dining area and lounge, and the showers, toilets and kitchen were spotlessly clean and well equipped. Inside and out, everything was perfect, including the well kept grounds. We got a warm, helpful welcome, with particular care to make sure our companion with mobility problems was happy. Many thanks.

Ian and the rest of the staff were really friendly and helpful, and the facilities are fantastic. The Sailloft sits right on the beach, with the historic harbour of Portsoy a five minute walk away. There's a good pub and cafe nearby, and The Marble Shop is lovely to browse. We enjoyed the fantastic coastal walk too. One of Scotland's best hostels, in my view, on the beautiful Moray Coast. West isn't Best.

We cycled there from Huntly and then back to Keith, on quietish roads with very considerate drivers. You can take a bike on the train and Ember bus. We only stayed one night to catch up with a friend who was there for the week, but it was so nice I'd have gladly stayed longer. Right on the beach, and quiet when we visited in September, though it might be livelier at weekends. I'll visit again!

The rooms were spotless, the staff fantastic, and our group had loads of fun in the jacuzzi. It's perfectly placed right on the beach. Can't wait to come back.

The kitchen was spotless and had everything we needed. The accommodation worked really well for me, even with my mobility scooter and crutches, and the wet room shower and toilet were fully accessible.
