Lux Apartment

The location is fantastic and the place looks great, but the holiday took more effort than it should have. It wasn't as clean as it needed to be, and there were problems with the bedding and the bathroom towel. We had no washing up sponges, tea towels, or oven gloves, and only one spare bin bag. My apartment had a fridge freezer, but the upstairs place used by our other family member had no freezer. That could have been a big issue if we hadn't also had the downstairs apartment. Upstairs had a dishwasher, but downstairs didn't.

We got good value, a good location, and great views over Snowdonia from the bedrooms. The host was accommodating and quickly responded when I asked for an iron. I have no complaints apart from the rear courtyard, which was littered with rubbish and really unappealing.

The ground floor flat was very noisy, with every footstep from the first floor audible. It was relatively clean, but the shower curtain was disgusting, there was no bathroom mat so the floor got soaked, and the fridge barely worked. The listing said toilet paper was provided, but we got one roll for four people over four days. I contacted the owner for more and was told it would be dropped off, but it never arrived. To get the door opened and a key left inside, you need to call the owner, but they aren't willing to do that after 8pm.

The apartment was spacious and had everything our family needed for a busy break. For the four of us, it was an ideal base for exploring the North Wales area, from Snowdonia to the coastline. It's modern, with great facilities, and arrival and departure were easy. My only mark down is the bed in the main bedroom. A new one would better match the accommodation. Other than that, it was fab.
