We were lucky to find The Southgate Bed and Breakfast Hunmanby for our two-night stay. Julie and Chris were delightful hosts, very welcoming and happy to help with anything. The hotel was immaculate inside and out, and our room was spotlessly clean with lovely bedding and towels. Breakfast was delicious, made with good produce and beautifully cooked. I'd happily recommend it.

Julie greeted us as soon as we arrived and was lovely. The B&B was really nice, and you can walk into Filey from there. Chris made us a lovely breakfast the next day. We'll definitely stay again.

From arrival to check-out, it was an excellent stay and very good value. The lovely couple running the place gave us a warm welcome, and the rooms had everything we needed, including a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was really nice, cooked to order.

Chris and Julie were lovely hosts who made us feel so welcome. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with a walk-in shower, tea and coffee facilities, and really nice big towels. Breakfast was very good, and the Southgate is well placed for shops, pubs and restaurants. We were house hunting around the village, and they spent a lot of time giving us advice on areas and walks. They couldn't do enough for us. We're going back to Hunmanby soon to view some houses and have already decided the Southgate will be our base.

The proprietors were friendly, welcoming and happy to help with requests, and they gave us good suggestions for places to eat and visit. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and there was a DVD library and a selection of books. Breakfast was good, with some veggie choices. Pubs and restaurants are an easy walk away, the beach is about 3.5 miles away, and there's a whisky distillery at the end of the street. Totally recommend!
