The gorgeous rooms and tastiest breakfasts keep bringing us back to Homelands guest house. Glenda and Daniele give the warmest welcome, and you honestly won’t find a better place to stay in Barnard Castle. We’ve just enjoyed another lovely couple of days here, and it’s fast becoming one of our favourite places. We’ll be back! Kerry&Ian :)

I look forward to many more visits to this lovely guesthouse, where I stay as often as I can. The owners always give a warm welcome, and the clean, comfortable rooms and excellent breakfast made with quality ingredients are all very good value. Thanks, Glenda and Daniele.

We travelled up from the south and booked dinner for our first night. It was excellent. We spent two nights in the garden room, and Glenda and Daniele went out of their way to make us feel welcome. If we’re in the area again, we’d have no hesitation about staying there. Jeff & Annie

Dinner and breakfast come with the best local produce, and dinner has some excellent extra seasonings made in an Italian home style. If you book dinner, you won’t be disappointed. Glenda and Daniele almost make it feel like staying at a friend’s home.

The breakfast was probably the best we've ever had at a guesthouse, and the hosts made us feel so welcome. We only spent one night in the garden room in early September, but we'd definitely come back. If you're staying in Teesdale, Homelands should be high on your list. You won't regret it.
