Frizenham Farmhouse B&B

Everything at Frizenham farmhouse feels high quality, from the food and decor to the little details that make you feel cared for. Claire and Mike made us very welcome and are lovely hosts. It's a great choice if you want somewhere peaceful in beautiful surroundings. I'd certainly recommend staying here, and we hope to come back the next time we're visiting RHS Rosemoor.

Clare was friendly, chatty and interesting, and we ended up swapping stories about doing up houses. She also kindly kept the dogs away because my husband is allergic, which we really appreciated. We stayed one night in late October and loved the house, the setting and our simple, stylish bedroom. We booked dinner and chose from a couple of options: the watercress soup was lovely, and the home-reared lamb was very tasty. At breakfast we skipped the cooked option and had the included eggs after excellent yoghurt with muesli and berries. Everything was delicious and top quality. Highly recommended.

We felt right at home in the middle of lovely countryside. Clare was generous and thoughtful, welcoming us warmly and being attentive without hovering. The room was very comfortable, the facilities were excellent, and breakfast was fabulous with homegrown produce. There was plenty to do and see nearby, and Clare went out of her way for us. I'd return anytime.

We left feeling thoroughly pampered. Frizenham B&B is a beautifully restored place tucked into rolling countryside inland from Bideford and Westward Ho! It has a real old-world feel. If you enjoy good food, flowers, exotic plants, tasteful rooms and artwork, give Clare & Mike a call. This hidden gem in North Devon is a great find.
