Hampton by Hilton Bath City

I made good use of the gym a couple of times. There’s a decent range of machines, weights, and stretching space, and the WiFi was good too. The location is hard to beat. We walked to all the sights, and the staff were friendly, especially the approachable, proactive breakfast team. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Our queen rooms were smart and tidy, with good bathrooms and a little extra room for a table and chairs. They were very comfortable for a short stay. The hotel felt new, bright, and well equipped, though I wouldn’t choose it for the views or quirky design. I’d definitely stay again.

Breakfast was the one real gripe: it was packed and felt pretty chaotic while we were there. Otherwise, we had a good stay. The rooms were spacious, clean, and functional, with all the basics, and check-in and check-out were easy and friendly. The location is handy between the car parks and the main attractions, but local parking fills up fast and gets especially busy when there’s rugby on, so plan ahead.

The rooms were clean and thoughtfully laid out, and the bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, with a fresh self-serve waffle iron. We also liked the lounge, and service at the bar was efficient. The staff were very friendly. Only drawback is that the nearest car park is a five-minute walk away, which could be an issue for some.

The breakfast was fresh and had lots of choice, and the staff made us feel welcome. I’m in the Hilton members loyalty scheme, and reception texted to check that everything was okay with my room and stay. I really appreciated that. It’s a very central spot, close to parking and some great bars and restaurants. I’ll definitely stay again.
