We’d come from a day at the arboretum and found out we were 45 minutes early for meals when we popped in at 4.45. The staff and other customers were so friendly and enthusiastic that we decided to wait, and I’m glad we did. Great atmosphere, lovely staff and food. The steak pie was a proper pie, with a bottom and sides.

We were a group of seven celebrating a birthday last week, and everyone had something nice to say about their meal. My beetroot risotto looked amazing and tasted wonderful, and it was well worth the money. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the manager even brought a “happy birthday” balloon for our table. Highly recommend.

The Friday night GF fish and chips were fab, and the portions are big, so sharing a plate might suit you if you’re not that hungry. We’ve enjoyed a room here before, though we didn’t stay this time. Top pub, great dinner and outstanding service. Highly recommend.

We’ve eaten here a few times, though we haven’t stayed. The food is excellent and the portions are really good. We’ve had steak pie, fish and gammon steak, and the chunky homemade chips are amazing. The other dishes we’ve seen going out looked great too.

The kids loved it, and the food was absolutely delicious. We stopped for lunch before the Polar Express ride, and the staff were really friendly. Would definitely recommend.
