Leonardo Hotel Belfast

We were right in the middle of everything, which was great since we only had a day and one night in Belfast. The room was huge, bright and clean, with thoughtful touches like tea, coffee, biscuits and a hairdryer that made us feel welcome. The beds were really comfortable, and we slept well. Staff were so friendly and helpful. We arrived very early and they were happy to look after our bags. It was great to have someone to talk to straight away when we arrived.

The breakfast was a big letdown for the money. The selection was very good and everything was well topped up, but it was all nearly cold, lukewarm at best. With self-service, you might expect one or two things to have cooled down if they’d been sitting out, but not everything. The kitchen staff even put out fresh scrambled egg and it was cold too. The hotel itself was clean, modern and quiet, in a good location, and all the staff were friendly.

The showers were excellent, and the rooms were okay. Check-in was seamless, we could drop our bags off, and we got a really good welcome. The location was good too. We tried to get a drink at the bar, but there was no beer on tap and the coffee machine was broken. Nobody hurried to let us know or offered an alternative, which wasn’t good enough.

Sarah Jane checked us in, offered great recommendations and made us feel really welcome. Sarah and Megan were also very accommodating when we had a late flight. They let us store our luggage and even found us a quiet space for prayer. We stayed for a couple of days and had a really great experience, with excellent service. I’d highly recommend staying here in central Belfast.
