Thornton Farm Cottages

Thornton Farm is in a beautiful setting, with beaches, countryside and historic towns nearby. Laura shared useful local knowledge, and our dogs could come along and be walked safely in the designated part of the farm. We also enjoyed meeting the horses, donkeys and lambs, and spotting house martins and hares outside the window. The house was warm and clean, with very comfortable beds and a fully equipped kitchen. It felt like home for our long weekend, thanks in no small part to Laura's warm welcome. A little slice of heaven. Thank you, Laura. We'll be back!

We stayed for a week with our Greyhound, and the fenced back garden worked perfectly for a dog. A sunny day on Holy Island was a highlight, including lunch on the beach. The cottage is close to all the amenities in Berwick, and Spittal Beach, Hirsel House, Bamburgh Castle, and Alnwick are easy to reach and make great places to visit. The hosts were welcoming, and the cottage was cosy, comfortable and very well equipped. We made good use of the amazing log fire on a few rainy evenings. We'll definitely be back!

We couldn't have been happier with this cottage for our family getaway. It was spotless and had all the comforts and amenities we needed. The lovely farm setting was within reach of everything the area offers, and there was a large enclosed play area as well as a beautiful back garden. Highly recommend.

The donkeys in the next field were brilliant, and the fresh eggs and honey they sell were both amazing. We had a lovely, relaxing break, with the cottage making a great base for visiting other places. It was immaculately clean, the beds were a pleasure to sleep in, and it had everything we needed. Nothing negative to say about this beautiful place, everything was first class. Thanks to Laura for always being at the end of the phone if we needed anything. x
