Jenny was a pleasure to deal with. Her messages were clear, prompt and practical, and she was easy to communicate with throughout our stay. My son, wife and I stayed in the first and second floor apartments at 89A Spencer Street on Saturday evening, 20 April 2025. From start to finish, everything was excellent. The apartments are central in Beverley but very quiet, and we all slept well. That surprised us a little, since we're used to king-size beds and these were standard doubles. Heating was very efficient too, which matters when the wind comes off the North Sea. Both apartments had plenty of space for us, with a good-sized lounge and kitchen area, breakfast bar, bedroom with lots of cupboard space, and bathroom. The first-floor place also had outdoor seating. We didn't cook there, but the crockery, glassware and cooking equipment seemed reasonably plentiful. The palm-activated entry system was straightforward. On-site parking can be arranged, with three spaces shared among the four OurHaus apartments, which is a real help since town-centre parking in Beverley is scarce.

We stayed one night and found the apartment clean, with everything we needed. The little yard was a nice bonus, and the location is great for getting to all the facilities Beverley has to offer.

The apartment was a lovely, bijou place, nicely decorated, very clean and well equipped. We couldn't get the Wi-Fi working, though. The sofa bed is nice but very firm, so we'd recommend using the mattress topper provided.

Jenny was lovely and the location was great. We had a good stay apart from the first apartment's bed. The mattress was so uncomfortable that we could feel the wooden slats through its thin, springy surface, and we had a sleepless night. The host said other guests had loved the bed, but maintained there was nothing wrong with it. The sofa in the lounge and the bedroom mattress both need replacing. After we contacted Jenny, she asked us to try the sofa bed. We said we'd leave, then she double-checked and found another apartment. Its mattress was much better and we managed to sleep the second night. I'd book again, but only if I could get the right apartment with a bed fit for purpose. Check whether the beds have been replaced before booking.
