We shared the seafood platter for two, and it was faultless: big plump mussels in thick garlic sauce, crisp battered cod and calamari, plus warm bread with excellent smoked fish pate. This is proper pub food, with classic British dishes done well. It’s a proper old pub by the river, with a roaring fire. If you’re nearby, don’t think twice.

George and Simon are doing a great job at this lovely pub. The food is lovely, the prices are great, and the service is excellent. If you’re visiting Bewdley, don’t miss it. Highly recommend 😋😁

George and his Dad make a fantastic team. The food was superb, and the beer and cider were great. The Sunday dinner was stunning. We’re lucky to have such a good pub on our doorstep, and I can’t wait to work my way through the rest of the menu! 🤩👌🏻

There was no room left for pudding after a very good Sunday lunch for four. The pate starter was huge, the garlic mushrooms were tasty, and both the pork loin with trimmings and the sea bass with its tasty sauce were very good. Service was a little slow, and we had to go and get our own drinks and tell staff when we were ready to order. Apart from that, a very good experience.
