Our dog was made very welcome with a bed and a little hamper, and there was plenty of space for all of us. We loved the stay through their “one more sleep” offer. The big, cosy room was clean and comfortable, with great river views, a super-king bed and a roomy walk-in shower. It’s in a separate block about 50 yards from the pub, so coming and going was easy. The nearby homemade chocolate shop was a bonus too.

Ruthie and her team made our relaxing seaside weekend a lovely one. We had Room 1, a roomy, comfortable corner room with everything we needed and wide views of the bay through windows on two sides. There was a great choice of food and beers, and we ate at the hotel twice. Staff were friendly and attentive. We’ll be back! 👍😎

The staff were so welcoming and smiley, and I think our waitress was Indie. She was lovely and really helpful, a real asset. My partner and I had dinner here recently. The place was cosy, and the food was delicious, with generous portions for a very reasonable price given the quality. We’ll come again next time we’re in the area.

We ended up returning for lunch the next day because dinner was so delightful. The food was excellent and the service spot on. Ruthie and the team really went out of their way to look after us. Booking a table is a good idea, though you don’t have to.

The location is lovely and the service was good, and the food looked nicely presented. But the roast beef spoiled our Sunday lunch. It was so tough I struggled to cut it even with a steak knife. Such a disappointment after the lovely meal we had here in the summer.
