Our room felt like home, with books and music on the shelf that suited us perfectly. Penny greeted us with tea and a scone, and there was such a great choice at breakfast.

Penny’s breakfast was a highlight, with homemade bread and jams and a perfectly cooked English treat to finish. The rooms are first class, and the beds are lovely and comfortable. You couldn’t ask for a more beautiful B&B.

Just a few yards from the sea, and the rooms are all stylishly decorated and furnished. Penny is a wonderful host, and her breakfasts are the stuff of legends.

The only downside is parking, though that seems to be an issue throughout Appledore. Otherwise, it’s a very nice B&B: a good host, a clean room and really comfortable beds. I slept well, and the breakfast was wonderful. I challenge anyone to make it better.

Beautiful rooms, a kind host and an incredible spread at breakfast. The service was excellent. I’d recommend it.
