I didn’t expect much from such a big menu, but this turned out to be one of the best meals I’ve had out in a long time. The cooking was good, home-style food at very fair prices. We came in for dinner with family, and the young staff were friendly and attentive. A great achievement for a small hotel in the current climate. Well done, guys.

We were there when the hotel was busy for both food and drinks, but the staff stayed welcoming, friendly and very attentive. Check-in was easy, and our room was a great size, with lovely new decor that suited the hotel’s style and a fantastic ensuite. We also had a delicious meal in the restaurant. Some parts have been upgraded already, while other areas still look dated. Seeing it as a work in progress, though, this is a fantastic place. We stayed one night and everything was perfect. What a gem!

We stayed for one night and had dinner as well. Both the evening meal and breakfast were fantastic, and the staff made us feel very welcome. The family room was perfect for us, comfortable and really clean. It’s a beautiful place, and I’d highly recommend it.

We were travelling from Edinburgh to Manchester and stopped here to get something to eat. What a lucky find. The restaurant was very clean, the staff were friendly, and the food was absolutely amazing. We’d definitely recommend it!

Michael and the team really look after their guests, going out of their way to help. The food and accommodation were both fabulous, and the location in Biggar is great. Highly recommend.
