Mica Point City Centre Apartment

The apartment has a good location and decent basic amenities. I had a couple of problems, but after asking a couple of times they were sorted by the end. The manager and team were considerate and customer-friendly.

I was impressed by how spotless and tidy this lovely little apartment was. The bed was very comfortable, and they provided a fridge, microwave and washing machine. It's not far from central Birmingham, and honestly I couldn't fault the place. Well done, guys. I'd definitely recommend it for a Birmingham stay.

Don't stay here, it's unsafe. The block has taxis coming and going all night, people doing drugs outside, and doors that don't lock. It felt like a dangerous area, with people exchanging things through car windows. The owners were rude and untrustworthy, and refused to refund me after I left because the property was unsafe. I didn't sleep well or feel safe, and pests inside bit me. It was unclean, with cigarette burns on the carpets. They also take weeks to return the 'security' deposit.

It's a strange mix: the location is great, just a few minutes' walk from the heart of Birmingham, but the block is plain and decidedly unglamorous. No luxuries, and the kitchen/living room is pretty austere, though the kettle, fridge and TV all worked fine. The beds and showers were good. The WiFi was unreliable in the twin bedroom, and the bedside light didn't work.
