Jane was a lovely host, and after four nights I really wasn't ready to go. The room and en suite were spotless, the bed very comfortable, and she catered for whatever we needed, from extra milk or coffee to yoghurt or a different cereal at breakfast. The full English was delicious. The weather wasn't good on our first day, which was the one thing Jane couldn't arrange, but it did improve. Thank you, and best wishes for the future.

We were cycling coast to coast and arrived at about 7pm, soaked through. Jane was so helpful and understanding. The accommodation was excellent and very well equipped, and the service was fantastic. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Highly recommended.

Jane and Wayne made us feel very welcome, and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were fantastic and immaculate, which was a real comfort to come back to after long days working in the cold. A really nice stay, and I'll use them again when I'm in the area. Thanks for looking after us.

We didn't want to leave and will definitely be back. The service was the best I've ever had. Jane got in touch before we arrived to ask if we needed anything. I'd booked for a trip on the Weardale Railway with my seven year old, and our room was decorated with Santa duvets and Christmas decorations. There was a selection box for my little one too, such a lovely touch. Where was mine? :0) I stay in hotels often, and this was the cleanest B&B room I've ever had, with a lovely view. Breakfast was ready right at 9am as requested, with everything you could want, and my daughter ate even more than I did. They'd cook anything on demand. She got another little gift when we left, and Dennis offered to drive us down to the railway to avoid traffic and showed us the short walk back. We were in the children's room, which didn't have a TV. When I asked if one could be moved in, they opened another room for us instead. I just can't fault the stay.

After a long drive, the cosy, beautiful bedroom and bathroom were just what we needed. Our host gave us such a lovely, friendly welcome. I'd definitely recommend it.
