Barrons Hotel

Barrons hotel was horrendous. Room 9 had a broken floor, and water leaked in the bathroom in room 3. There was no complimentary water. The owner told me to drink tap water, which I found disgusting. There was barely enough to keep someone alive, and the room was so hot I felt like I was suffocating. No air conditioning, and the bed squeaked whenever I shifted. Overall, horrible.

The food was appalling. The chicken on the bone tasted hard and uncooked, and they used the same cutlery to cut pork and chicken, which raised major health concerns. In the room, I found bed bugs, hairs and stains on the bed that I believe were dried blood and human faeces. It smelled damp, and the mattress was filthy too. When I spoke to the manager, he refused a refund and offered only to change the sheets. I was there for one night. The staff were very rude, especially the man at reception, and he showed no willingness to resolve the problem. Save your time and money, I don’t recommend this hotel at all.

I stayed in room 11 and bedbugs were crawling around the beds. My kids have been bitten too. Leon, the guy at the bar, said there were no more family rooms and they were trying to treat the rooms, which were closed off because of bedbugs. He came across as rude and arrogant, more interested in his phone and a female guest. No one should be staying there. I’ll be speaking to environmental health, and the staff member behind the bar needs to learn some manners.

WARNING, BED BUGS! My husband and I were bitten when we stayed with our children on [22.08.2025 ]. The room was infested, and staff wouldn’t give us another one. We had to leave at 3 AM and pay for another hotel ourselves. It completely ruined our holiday. Avoid this hotel at all costs!
