Moorfield Hotel

I loved my stay. Janette is a wonderful host and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast was beautiful and the bed really comfy.

The owner was welcoming, friendly and great fun, and nothing was too much trouble. The home-cooked breakfast was excellent, with plenty to eat. It’s well placed for town and the seafront, in an area that’s not too busy but not really quiet either.

Everything was within a 5-10 minute walk, and the location was brill. I had an amazing four-night stay at Moorfield. Janette was brilliant, the room was spotless, and breakfast was great, with cereal, tea, toast and a full English fry-up.

Janette made us feel welcome from the moment she answered the door. After a little chat, she showed us to the room and gave us a key, then left us to get ready. The room had everything we needed: a small sink, toilet and shower, fresh linen and towels, tea and coffee facilities, and a fridge. It was cold outside, but the room was a lovely temperature. Moorfield is in a great spot, with everything within easy reach. We walked to town and the park, and the hotel was quiet at night, so we slept well. Breakfast was served from 8 to 9, and Janette asked what we’d like beforehand. We went down around 8:30 to find her ready to prepare it. There was orange juice, cereal if wanted, toast with butter, jams and marmalade, plus a pot of coffee and a lovely cooked breakfast. Ours came with two sausages, two rashers of bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans and egg, and Janette can make a different combination if you prefer. We booked a couple of nights at the start of December, and would stay again if we visit Blackpool. The Christmas decorations made the place feel festive, which I loved. I enjoyed chatting with Janette about her grandchildren and presents. We’d definitely return as long as Janette is still running it.
