The AVON Hotel

We had no complaints as a group of two adults and two teenagers. The owner was really friendly, the room was clean, and the location suited us perfectly. We'd come back.

Breakfast was a highlight for us, with fresh, tasty food and plenty of choice. The WiFi was fast too, and our room was clean and well looked after, so we slept well each night. Chris gave us a warm welcome at Avon B&B in Blackpool and was so helpful and friendly throughout. He made sure we were comfortable, and that made a real difference to the stay. We were very happy with the place. It's a clean, affordable spot with a good breakfast and a lovely host. Thanks, Chris, for making the visit memorable.

Chris runs The Avon with a genuinely friendly manner and is always up for a chat or ready to help. The breakfast was outstanding, and the price for the location was amazing. It's the most economical place I've stayed in. He calls it 'cheap and cheerful', which fits if you're after a clean, comfortable room with a TV, en suite, and good tea and coffee supplies. It's a few minutes' walk from the main train station and attractions around the Tower.

Breakfast was better than some reviews had led us to expect. The buffet food was hot and thoroughly cooked, with sausages, bacon, fried egg, hash browns, fried bread, baked beans and mushrooms. There was fresh orange on the table, and Chris brought tea, coffee and toast over. Cereals were available too, and we could take as much cooked breakfast as we wanted. We stayed five nights in room 5 at Avon, which was fine for the price. The bathroom had wet wall lining and a good power shower. There was plenty of tea and coffee, with extra available whenever we ran out. Chris was a great host and happy to help. After the bed felt uncomfortable on the first night, we talked it over and he added a mattress topper, which made a big difference to my sleep. We went swimming one day and hadn't brought enough towels. Chris readily gave us more to take along. The cleaning lady was nice to chat with too, and happy to help if asked. We'll definitely return next year, and I'll call Chris once we've settled on dates.
