The location was perfect, but I left disappointed and won’t be coming back. I’d lived in Blackpool when I was younger, so I was surprised by how run down the hotel had become. Sharon was lovely, and the room was sort of clean, but it really needs some care. There were pigeons in the space above my room and blood on the bathroom door handle. I’d booked a cheap room because I didn’t expect to spend much time there, but the time I did spend in it wasn’t great. Maybe a deep clean would have changed my impression. I paid peanuts and got what I paid for. I should’ve spent more and stayed somewhere else.

Sharron was a lovely host, very friendly and genuine, and couldn’t do enough for you. The hotel’s really central, and both the rooms and breakfast were clean. I’ve just spent a few days here, really enjoyed my stay, and hope to come back soon. I’d highly recommend Riversvale.

Sharon, the owner, was so helpful and friendly 💘, and the location worked perfectly for me. It’s a 10 minute walk to the town and entertainment areas and the train station, while still being far enough from the centre for a quiet, peaceful night. I was upgraded from a single to a lovely double room when I arrived. The bed was comfy, and the shower was nice and warm with strong water pressure whenever I needed it. There’s also a really well stocked little bar downstairs. I’m struggling to think of anything negative and will definitely return.

Breakfast was the wow factor, with plenty to keep you going past lunch, and the beds were very comfortable. Trevor and Walter made us feel welcome and comfortable throughout our two night stay, going above and beyond as hosts. The building’s a beautiful Victorian place with charm and character. Some call it dated, but I found it homely. It had all we needed, and we loved our stay, especially my little boy Oliver. Thanks to you both for the amazing hospitality. We look forward to coming back.
