Our second evening meal was much better, mainly because we had a different server and the food wasn't overcooked. Breakfast was also much better than the first night's dinner: it was a self-service buffet. The cabaret was okay, though I'd hate to see the room in summer with just four chairs around a table for two. The partly blacked-out curtains seemed plain weird. What's the point? For what you pay, I know you can't expect the Ritz, but the place could be so much better. We booked a quad room with our grandchildren, aged 14 and 12, but it was much smaller than the website picture, basically a double with bunk beds crammed in. Parking comes down to luck. It's tandem style, so you can block in the car ahead and have to leave your keys at reception in case someone needs to get out. If you drive away, there's no guarantee of a space when you return. If there's none, they refund the £7.50 paid in advance. The first night's service was terrible. Our waiter seemed to hate his job, and dinner took over two hours. Only the main item, fish or meat, came from the kitchen; vegetables were put on the plate at a hot range. It looked like a buffet, but wasn't. The chicken was dry and tough.

I left a day early. This was my second stay, but I won't return. The place needs a full modern refit. It's shabby enough that I felt unclean, and I expect a bit of effort and clean, safe surroundings when I've paid for a stay. Some staff were helpful, and the bar food was top notch. The entertainment was mostly okay, with some pretty good singers, and bingo is always epic. But food in the dining room was mediocre at best. Restaurant staff could be rude or so unbothered they seemed ignorant. Dinner on the first night took 1.45 mins because they were understaffed, and even when they had enough staff, things still took ages. The restaurant wasn't even half full. Tiffanys shows the rough-around-the-edges side of Blackpool. It has definitely seen better days and is bordering on gross and unsafe, with very little disabled access. The rooms aren't accessible. My carpet was disgusting, the curtains over the bed had questionable stains, stair canisters bow when used, and floorboards bend. My sink was half hanging off, and the shower leaked.

We got a lovely sea view, and the tram and bus stops right outside came in handy for my Mam. The entertainment was good too. Staff were always friendly and helpful. Food ordered from the bar menu was lovely, especially the chicken skewers my Mam and I had. The dining room was a bit dark and warm, but breakfast was nice. The family room was nice and tidy, though the bathroom was small. I had to ask for a bath mat because the kids were slipping in the shower, and the bathroom air con didn't work. There wasn't a hair dryer in the room. I didn't mind, but my Mam uses one, so we'll bring our own next time. Just back from a two-day break. The hotel is a bit dated and needs freshening up. We saw workmen and decorators, so hopefully it'll be better next time. I was surprised about the parking charge, as that wasn't mentioned when I booked. Personally, I think they should drop it and make parking free. It was £15 for two nights. If you want somewhere posh and pristine, this isn't it.

We had a ball, and the entertainment was top notch. The room had a great view and a comfy bed. The hotel was nice, clean and tidy, though dated in places. One thing, the maintenance man should wait for you to answer before barging in while you're in bed.

Staff were polite, but we were disappointed that the hotel showed so little discretion in the circumstances. After the person who made our booking died, we cancelled and provided a death certificate. The hotel stuck to its non-refundable deposit policy and kept the deposit.
