Absolute Beachfront With Decked Garden Oasis and Views

We had a lovely meal and drinks, with a sea view from our table. There are several seating areas, and the staff welcomed us warmly and gave great service. We had starters and mains, enjoyed everything, and thought it was great value. We also asked about rooms since we hope to return to Bognor. A kind lady showed us one that looked great, and we’ll book once our dates are confirmed. Well worth visiting for food, and we’re looking forward to staying.

The location is lovely and the front staff were helpful, but the meal was a letdown. We’d booked about a week earlier and were told the 2 for 1 menu began at 13.30. When we arrived then and asked for it, we were told it wasn’t being offered. That was very disappointing, especially as they had our phone number. The weather was foul, so we decided to stay anyway. I ordered the large fish and chips, but the battered fish was very small. I make better using Harry Ramsden frozen battered cod. The mushroom stroganoff tasted lovely, but it came with loads of sauce and hardly any rice. Rice doesn’t cost much, and a bigger portion would have helped. The manager didn’t seem very focused on customers, and they’ve lost me as a client. We’re pensioners and would rather support a local business, but we rarely eat out, so it’s back to the takeaway.

The service was spectacular. The food was genuinely excellent too, fresh, carefully prepared, and presented with thought. You can tell the menu gets real care, and the quality fits the beautiful surroundings. A light bite or a full meal, either way it’s very satisfying.

The staff are really fab, and the new menu is good. It’s a lovely hotel with a great spot overlooking the sea. Definitely worth a visit.
